Audition Information for Frozen

We invite adults, teens, and children 8 and up to audition for Frozen, the Broadway musical, presented by the Pickwick Players!

Audition dates:

You do not need to sign up for an audition time. Please attend at any time during the audition hours listed. Auditions are conducted in small groups.

In-person auditions are preferred. If auditionees are not available either of those times, they may submit a video audition of them reading, singing and dancing to thepickwickplayers@gmail.com by Sunday, January 25.

Performance dates: early May and/or late April 2026. Two Friday evening performances, two Saturday afternoon performances, and two Saturday evening performances.

Roles open for children ages 8 and older, teens, and adults. This is the Broadway version of Frozen, not the Jr. version, so all roles will be cast with people of the appropriate age for the characters. There are a few roles for children, such as young Anna and Elsa, and several ensemble roles for children as the rock creatures, snowflakes, and part of the group scenes as residents of Arendelle, etc. There will also be opportunities for children, teens and adults who dance and sing in the ensembles.

Audition requirements: Please come to auditions prepared with a memorized, 1-minute monologue from another similar Disney show that is similar to the role you would like to receive. Also, come prepared with 1 verse or chorus of a song from a different Disney musical to sing. You may also be asked to read cold readings from the script. If you have dance experience and are interested in a role that involves dancing or as a member of the dance ensemble, please come with comfortable dance shoes to learn a short routine to be presented to those casting.

First rehearsal date: The first entire cast read-through rehearsal will be held Thursday, January 29 at 6:30 pm. A parent of children under age 18 are requested to attend for the first hour. There is a $180 participation fee required of each person participating in a Pickwick Players production. Additionally, all parents of children and cast members are expected to volunteer in some capacity for the production.
